I’ve had a couple of people contact me lately about how they would go about replacing a lost or damaged license, so I thought I’d add the information here.
All you need to do is send your name, address, date of birth, ssn or drivers license number, type of license along with $1.50 to:
License section
ODWC
P.O. Box 53465
OKC, OK 73152
Or you can go to www.wildlifedepartment.com/apps.htm and print off a duplicate annual license application.
If your license was issued by a dealer that issues a computerized license, you may go to any dealer that issues licenses in the same fashion and obtain a replacement for $1.50.
Well we are one week away from July. The Crappie have finished their run and fishing as a whole is starting to slow down a little in the southern states. Soon we will be in triple digit temperatures. For most hunters, this is a time of pure boredom, but is doesn’t have to be that way. …Read_More;»»»»
Most of my turkey hunting success comes during the fall season. I am fortunate to have a lease on some land where the turkey have never been hunted, that is until I started leasing there. During the fall season the turkey tend to travel in larger groups. They are easier to spot due to a lack of foliage. However, there are some tricks that can be used to help improve your turkey hunting success during the spring season. …Read_More;»»»»
When I was young I spent most of my summers fishing on rivers up in Wisconsin. Rivers as we all know are more difficult to fish while using bobbers due to the current always taking them down stream. You either have the option of constantly reeling in your line and re-casting, or using a heavy weight to slow it down. Or you could use a rig known as The Wolf River Rig. Since I didn’t really do much crappie fishing back in those days I didn’t really realize what I was doing every time I tied up one of these rigs. But, what I was making turned out to be the best method known to catch crappies in the south. …Read_More;»»»»
There are only a couple days left in this years squirrel hunting season. I’ve got a few in the freezer all dressed up and ready for the frying pan or crock pot depending on my mood. Squirrel hunting is pretty much the last hunted game for the season before I switch over to my second favorite sport of fishing.
I never really took up squirrel hunting until I moved to Louisiana back in 1987. I never really though much of the sport prior to that. It’s kind of funny when you talk to people about it, they either love it or they hate it. But regardless of how you feel about hunting squirrels, you can not deny that it is a great way to hone in your hunting skills. …Read_More;»»»»

As most of you know, I am a big advocate of getting your children into the world of outdoors sports at an early age. I have written many articles and have posted on many forums on this subject including this post here.
I have talked about my youngest and how he is about ready for his first real fishing trip. Of course to yo and me it’s not really much of a trip since we are just going to a small lake in the Tulsa area, but to him it’s gong to be an adventure. Since the last time I brought it up he has been talking about it. …Read_More;»»»»
I have a friend who plays a lot of golf. He has this uncanny ability to judge distance. Whether it’s over water or land, if I asked him how far a tree might be he could tell me and be correct withing a few feet.
Unfortunately most of us don’t have this ability. Most of us need to use rangefinders to be able to judge distances. With the use of a rangefinder and understanding the trajectory of your bullet or arrow, your deer hunting success will greatly improve. …Read_More;»»»»
Last year I was out visiting a friend of mine who was developing his own bird hunting preserve. While I was looking at his kennels the discussion came up about hunting dogs versus family pets. It is his firm belief that a hunting dog is a working dog and that a family pet will never make a good hunting dog.
Most of you have seen my posts and articles around where I have talked about my hunting dogs. …Read_More;»»»»
I was surfing the net today and came across some pretty amazing deer videos that I wanted to share.

Have you ever wanted to just reach into your tackle box and pull out some live bait anytime or anywhere? Well, Lucky Craft fishing lures has made it possible. Lucky Craft has developed a technique where they can use real fish skin on their fishing lures to make them more lifelike.
